Aurala is a hobby and meeting place open to everyone. With us, you can study and do hobbies at a community college, participate in the free activities of the regional living room or study and recreation activities for seniors. For those who have moved to Finland, we teach Finnish and give advice on job hunting and many practical matters.
We also have services for the youngest in the family, as our daycare center is a home-like care facility for around 35 children, and our civic college offers courses suitable for children and young people.
We do proactive social work in Safe work, where we work to prevent honor-related violence. We also implement several development projects related to adult education and proactive social work.
Aurala promotes a good and active life in all stages of life, an understanding of differences and a sense of community. Listening to the customer's voice and cooperating with other operators is central to the development of operations. We have operated according to these principles since 1939.
We are of the Finnish Settlement Association . There are 32 settlement elements, or local associations, operating in Finland. We are also part of the international settlement movement . Our activities are politically and religiously uncommitted. Our doors are open to everyone. We follow the principles of a safer space in our operations.
