Neighborhood Week is celebrated from 19 to 25 May 2025 all over Finland. Join Aurala's Setlement's neighborhood events to strengthen communality and share moments of joy. Neighbor is not only physical neighborhood but also mental intimacy and caring. So warmly welcome to Aurala's neighborhood week events from Turku and the surrounding municipalities!
What is the Neighborhood Week?
Neighbor Week is an internationally renowned event week that invites people to notice each other in the midst of everyday life. In Finland, the Settlement Movement will bring the neighborhood week into the lives of several locations. Aurala is also involved in creating communality and reducing loneliness.
Today, life can be busy and neighbors are easily distant. Neighbor Week reminds us that there are people close to us with whom a word, a smile, or working together can make everyday life brighter. The neighborhood can be an asset where small deeds and encounters create security, friendship and joy.
Aurala's Neighborhood Week program
Tuesday 20.5. - neighborhood day from 9am to 4pm

9am - 11am Aurala Kindergarten Open Doors - Explore activities and everyday life!

10 am - 12:30 pm neighborhood coffees - Come and have a good company and coffee.

from 12 noon to 12:45 pm Move nearby - a joint light exercise.

2 pm - 4 pm neighborhood and quilt piknik!
Neighborhoods and quilt piknik in the backyard of Aurala (in the event of rain in the ballroom):
Come and spend a relaxed afternoon for the neighborhood. Bring a little food to the common table - Aurala offers coffee and juices, the Vaasa bakery donates 60 delicious donuts. In addition, bring your own picnic. Together we form a colorful quilt pic!
During the event, we have a replacement point for goods and toys: you can bring with you a good toy or item that could delight the other. You can take something nice from you from the exchange point.

No pre -registration is required. The event is suitable for all ages. Welcome to the Nordic countries as well as other Turku and local people!
Thu 22.5. 5 pm- 20 pm Aurala's karaoke dances 60+
- Apply for free tickets from Aurala's office 12 - 16.5. 9.30am to 3pm, a limited number of tickets in the distribution.
Fri 23.5. from 4 pm to 6 pm The evening mock of single working -age people
