Auralan Setlementti ry is applying
one full-time community counselor for the period 1.3.2024-31.12.2026 and
one part-time community counselor for the period 1.3.2024-31.5.2025
It is also possible to combine the tasks of other Aurala operations with the part-time position, in which case the part-time nature of the position is greater. For example, Auralan Ooo! - a part-time instructor/teacher of basic adult skills is needed for the I can, I learn, I succeed project.
Iltaolkkari for those living alone is a three-year project that starts on March 1, 2024. It is financed by the Social and Health Organizations' Assistance Center STEA and is part of the "Invisible" assistance program, which aims to strengthen the everyday inclusion of vulnerable population groups.
The purpose of the project is to organize community activities for working-age people living alone. The forms of work increase the well-being of the target group, their own activity and participation. Activities are organized in regional living rooms located in different residential areas of Turku.
The task of community counselors is the development of group activities together with the target group, guiding groups, applying work to reach the target group, service guidance as individual work, developing activities in cooperation with their own team and networks. The job includes evening work approximately three evenings a week. Sometimes there is also work on weekends.
We require from the applicant
– education suitable for the field (community pedagogue, social worker, other degree in the social and health field or teaching field)
- experience in guiding groups and planning group activities
- the courage to start doing the job you are looking for
- interest in joint development with the target group
We value enthusiasm and the ability to come up with new ways of working, as well as previous experience working in cooperation networks. Service design knowledge is considered an advantage.
Salary: Full-time salary 2500-3000 euros and part-time 1250-1500 euros depending on education and work experience. We comply with the collective agreement of the private social service industry. The employment relationship has a trial period of six months. We hope that the employee can start on March 1, 2024, but a later start date can also be agreed upon.
