Pink hearts, flowers and hugs. The image for Valentine's Day is pink and soft. For many, Valentine's Day is a wonderful moment to celebrate one's friendship or love. However, Valentine's Day can also bring uncomfortable feelings and thoughts.
Many of us experience loneliness at least at some point in our lives. For example, life changes, such as moving to a new city, the end of a relationship or the end of a familiar job can bring with it moments when there are not enough important people around us. At worst, Valentine's Day can be a boring reminder of your own loneliness.
Loneliness cannot be solved by advising people to make friends or to boldly get to know others. We need spaces and situations that are easy to get to and easy to be in. Friendships don't build by themselves, but with small actions and moments, loneliness decreases. Could this Valentine's Day be a good time to sit down to drink coffee at the big table, or participate cautiously in other joint activities?
Valentine's Day is the perfect moment to remember the people you love and show your appreciation for them. At the same time, we can also consider the lonely people in our lives. Is there someone in your life who would appreciate a postcard, message or other small gesture this Valentine's Day?

- 13.2. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Naapurustokafti in Aurala Olohuone, in the program Valentine's day bingo. Welcome to coffee every Tuesday with other residents of the area! Aurala's Olohuone is also open for independent use Mon-Thu from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so you can come and spend time on other days as well. In the living room you will find e.g. board games and daily newspapers. All living room activities are free of charge.
- 14.2. from 17:00 to 20:00 Board game night for young adults, bingo as a Valentine's Day bonus! Afternoon tea and board games are aimed at 20-35 year olds. Let's play board games or otherwise just spend time together. You can participate according to your own schedule, you don't have to register and you don't have to pay anything.
- 14.2. at 16:30–19:30 Valentine's Day Macrame workshop. Come make a beautiful macrame heart decoration for Valentine's Day. At the same time, you will hear about Aurala Settlement membership and its benefits.
